About
First and foremost, I am a proud dad, occasional surfer and passionate drummer. Although I now live in Australia, I am originally from another beautiful country, South Africa.
This was my home for most of my life.
I got my first taste of being an entrepreneur while studying computer programming in college. I realized that it was more fun selling computers and software to my college friends than computer programming was.
I launched into my first business which skyrocketed until the big ole millennium year of 2000.
Remember, when all computers were going to crash??
With a few bad business decisions, I hit rock bottom.
So hard that I never touched a computer until I landed up in Australia…
Moving on
After way too many parties and a fatal car accident that almost cost me my life, I realized that life is waaay too short! I decided to explore the world in my mid twenties by working on board cruise ships around the United States.
I worked (and cruised of course) across the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii.
Hard work, great lifestyle, lots of fun and met a ton of great people. One being my life partner who is from Perth Australia.
We worked and cruised for about 20 months. In December 2006 I decided to join her for a holiday to Perth with the plan of returning back to the ships.
In this time, we discovered that we were going to be parents which obviously changed the plans!
So I’m now a proud dad of 1 (for now, let’s see!:)
About my first year living in Australia I was unable to work due to VISA restrictions.
This was painful. I had some money to keep me going, so decided to invest into a new laptop with the thought of revisiting my programming skills.
But as we know, everything that I found about making money online pointed to Network Marketing.
I seriously tried to avoid it (those pyramid things!) but met a leader in Australia and started building a business.
With literally no traditional warm market, I started doing things online. Articles, traffic exchanges, pamphlets, you name it I tried it. Blogs were kind of a mystery word at that time.
I started doing pay per click marketing on Google which was really exciting. I remember spending my last $30 dollars hoping that I will get a $37 sale to keep me going.
That was it, if I couldnt do that, I was going to quit and move on.
But I got my sale! And another, and another…
Now although this was a funded proposal generating leads, this pushed me to become a top recruiter in my company while maintaining the cash flow.
I was pumped
Came across a blogging expert online and something just started to rope me in. I did quite an extensive blogging course and at thought point thought to myself, ‘How would part time network marketers cope with this??’
Little did I know of course that this would become the medium of choice.
Looking at the work load, I decided to create a team blog where our team could contribute to 1 blog and share the traffic through a rotation system. And so way back in May 2008, thatMLMbeat.com was born.
The more I blogged, the more I got fascinated with the blogging platform and it’s possibilities, WordPress.
To add fuel to light the old programming fire in me, I found a social networking platform that integrates into WordPress, and the real adventure had begun!
thatMLMbeat.com is now a complete blog network with close to 3,000 blogs at the time of writing this with 29,000 indexed pages within Google.
The foundation has been laid and the fun has just begun.
I am on a mission to provide a platform and a service for MLM Bloggers to get recognized for their hard work and value while connecting them with prospects around the globe.
